About Hood Canal & Union

Hood Canal is actually a long, natural, narrow saltwater inlet that links Juan de Fuca and the Georgia Straits with the southern and eastern edges of the Olympic Peninsula. The Canal takes a spectacular, elbow-like bend at Union, the summer home to the Gates and Nordstrom clans. This beautiful spot in Western Washington is the perfect location to relax, enjoy outdoor activities or just take in the view.
